Downloading Video To Your Computer
If you are new to the video scene of the internet, this is a good place to start. This tutorial will show you how to download video from your digital camera onto your computer. The first thing that you need obviously, is a digital camera capable of taking video. Take a good amount of video with it unless you already have a video that you are ready to upload. Follow the instruction guide that came with your digital camera and plug it into your USB or cradle.
Wait until windows has detected your digital camera, a yellow balloon should pop-up in the bottom right hand corner.

The first step is to navigation into your cameras default folder for saving photos. This may be named differently than the one pictured. Your video file will have a prefix that is related to your digital camera along with a number and a file extention. The file extention will either be a .avi, .mp4, or .mpg. Find all the movie files and highlight them with your mouse.

Next you will want to copy and paste the video file to a folder on your desktop. Simply press "Control + C".

Open the folder on your desktop and press "Control + V". It may take a few minutes, but your video should be in the ready state to be converted. You may now move on to the next step "Converting Video".
